AgelessRx Launches Pilot Post-COVID Clinical Trial Using Low Dose Naltrexone and NAD

AgelessRx, an online telemedicine clinic that specializes in longevity, has launched a groundbreaking Pilot Post-COVID Clinical Trial. Through this clinical trial, they hope to identify and treat the underlying causes of Post-COVID-19 Syndrome and help “long-haulers” reduce or eliminate their symptoms and restore their quality of life.

This Post-COVID Clinical Trial will enroll 60 adults between 18 and 65 of any gender and ethnicity for 12-weeks.  It is an IRB-approved clinical trial that will include a treatment and placebo group.  The individuals in the treatment group will receive 4.5mg/day of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) and 400mg/ml (worn once per week) of NAD+ Iontophoresis Patches.

AgelessRx’s Post-COVID Clinical Trial will further the research on the link between aging and COVID-19.  Despite the staggering amount of evidence, age related damage remains to be neglected when discussing treatment options for “long haulers.”  It is now understood that age is the most significant predictor of COVID-19 death, yet age related damage is not being factored into treatment.  AglessRx believes that the symptoms experienced with Post-COVID-19 Syndrome are the same as various age-related diseases.

Individuals with Post-COVID-19 Syndrome report symptoms such as brain fog and difficulty concentrating, fatigue, insomnia, chills or sweats, and loss of appetite.  It is believed that the use of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) and NAD+ Iontophoresis Patches could reduce or eliminate these symptoms.  Both LDN and NAD+ are reported to reduce fatigue, inflammation and improve mood.  Prior research has found a strong association with inflammation and many of the problems experienced with COVID-19.

The Post-COVID Clinical Trial is currently open for enrollment.  AglessRx is enrolling anyone between 18 and 65 who has received a positive COVID-19 test in the past nine months.  Following enrollment, each patient will receive ongoing evaluations from a doctor and complete surveys reporting levels of fatigue and quality of life.

The AgelessRx Post-COVID Clinical trial is making strides in furthering the research on COVID-19.  The clinic has witnessed the unacceptable tragedy of the ongoing symptoms experienced by many who had COVID-19 and felt compelled to help. Pilot clinical trials such as this one set the foundation for future research.  Following this clinical trial, AgelessRx plans to expand and enroll more participants as well as look at biomarkers and additional modalities.

Those interested in learning more about AgelessRx’s Post-COVID Clinical Trial are invited to visit their website and view an online video presentation with AgelessRx Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder, Dr. Sajad Zalzala. These therapies show a great deal of promise, and this clinical trial is an exciting step forward in treating Post-COVID-19 Syndrome.
