Many have been suffering from a long-pandemic syndrome, which includes many cases of long-COVID and vaccine injury syndrome. In cases where there are headaches, persistent loss of smell, hearing, or visual changes, night sweats, skin rashes, and gastrointestinal symptoms, it has been my suspicion that there could be replicating SARS-CoV-2 virus in the human body, lingering for months to years. This is supported by an autopsy study by Stein ( Nature 2022 ), which found the virus alive and replicating many months after the initial clinical infection. They believed some sites, like the eye and brain, may be immunologically privileged and not so amenable to clearance by the immune system.
